EL Evelyn is Drug Policy Alliance’s Digital Communications Coordinator. In this role, EL provides critical digital communications support within DPA’s Communications & Marketing team by advancing day-to-day functions including email drafting and delivery support, digital advocacy tool support, and website updates and content support. She was also on the board of directors for Cafe Euphoria, a Trans* owned and operated co-op cafe. In those roles, she managed and implemented comprehensive marketing strategies that boosted community engagement in-person, and digitally across platforms. While working with clients, she also witnessed firsthand the impact of harmful drug policies. EL also received the Lavender Unsung Hero award, recognizing her outstanding contributions to LGBTQ+ initiatives while attending SUNY Albany. EL is eager to bring her digital marketing expertise to the Drug Policy Alliance and help to amplify our transformative work to end the drug war. In her personal life, EL is a nationally traveled performance poet, performing arts teacher, community organizer and healthcare advocate. She loves her two cat babies, reading horror novels, karaoke and attending local events.
