Today, the Marijuana Justice Coalition (MJC) and the Cannabis Freedom Alliance (CFA)–representing 39 nonprofit and public interest groups– released this new letter calling on President Biden to deschedule marijuana from the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) to fulfill his promise to voters regarding marijuana decriminalization.

This comes at a pivotal moment with major movement expected soon in the marijuana scheduling review process which was initiated by the White House last year.

As leading coalitions working closely with both sides of the aisle in Congress to find a legislative solution, the MJC and the CFA represent a diverse range of non-profit and public interest groups unified in calling on President Biden to deschedule marijuana as the only real way to end federal marijuana prohibition and the harms that come with it.
