Leticia Peguero

Founder and Principal, Leticia Peguero Coaching and Consulting

Leticia Peguero has over 25 years of experience at the intersection of social and racial justice, philanthropy, and narrative change. She brings years of experience in philanthropy and at frontline organizations to her work. Leticia believes race and gender are the center of all we do and uses that lens in her coaching, facilitation, and organizational development work. Most recently, Leticia served as Senior Vice President at Firelight Media while continuing to run her coaching and consulting practice – Leticia Peguero Coaching and Consulting.

Before launching her firm, she had numerous leadership positions. She was Vice President of Programs at the Nathan Cummings Foundation. She served as the first woman and woman of color Executive Director at the Andrus Family Fund. She was the Regional Vice President at the Posse Foundation and was Deputy Director of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Local Funding Partnerships Program. Leticia serves as the Chairperson of the Board for the Center for the Study of Social Policy, is a Trustee at Partners in Dignity and Rights, and has recently served as a two-term trustee at Philanthropy New York, where she helped the organization focus its work on racial justice in the philanthropic sector. She focuses her coaching practice on women and people of color and how to unleash their most significant potential at the intersection of their professional and personal lives. Leticia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University. She graduated with honors from the Marxe School of Public Affairs with a Master of Public Administration, where she was a National Urban Fellow. She is a member of the International Coaching Federation. Outside of her professional roles, Leticia works with artists of color, exploring work that elevates black and brown stories via dance, film, and other forms of storytelling. She lives in the South Bronx with her dog, Billie Jean.
