Brian Pacheco is the Managing Director of Communications at the Drug Policy Alliance (DPA), where he leads the organization’s communications strategy, including branding, digital advocacy, media relations, and content development.

With nearly 20 years of experience in nonprofit communications, Brian has played a key role in advancing policy and advocacy initiatives at the local, state, and federal levels. He has led rebranding efforts for organizations such as DPA and the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) and has developed public education campaigns to inform and engage key audiences on critical issues, including violence prevention, public safety, trauma, overdose prevention, and civil liberties.

His expertise spans narrative development, digital communications, messaging strategy, and content production. Notably, he produced a viral video for Safe Horizon that amassed over 110 million views in less than a week. A seasoned media strategist, Brian has successfully secured coverage in leading outlets, including ABC News, CNN, Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, Newsmax, The New York Times, The Today Show, and The View, as well as various digital platforms and podcasts.

Brian studied at Middlebury College.
