San Diego — Community members will gather for a town hall at St. Stephen’s Cathedral on Thursday evening to discuss how Sacramento’s proposed changes to the state corrections system would affect San Diego and to call for improvements in policing and probation practices and meaningful investments in crime prevention and re-entry.
The Judicial Reform Committee of the United African American Ministerial Action Council (UAAMAC) is convening the town hall in conjunction with several local community partners: Center for Social Advocacy, Drug Policy Alliance, A New PATH (Parents for Addiction Treatment & Healing), Justice 2 Denied, FACTS and NAACP.
