15 Years to Life for First Time Minor Drug Offense

Tony Papa was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for a first time non-violent drug offense. His art helped his story get noticed and eventually led to his release from prison and a career in activism fighting against the draconian drug policies to which he was subjected.
