The presentation included a brief overview of the Rapid Assessment and Response (RAR) initiative, what it is and why it is important. Field researchers highlighted recent work in the South Bronx including: engagement with drug treatment services; targeted responses to increases in overdoses; and, a collaborative approach with government and community stakeholders to address increased drug use and public injection in Bronx parks.
